ía de los Muertos in Magnolia Park

The documentary short film Adelante con la Cultura: 2020 Día de los Muertos in Magnolia Park chronicles how one historic barrio in Houston, Texas reimagined their massive community Día de los Muertos celebration. This was done in response to COVID-19's dire and continued effects on their neighborhood, and Latino communities across the U.S. The film is a personal and intimate celebration of Latino culture, with resident interviews, never-before-seen footage of the neighborhood, and a look at Día de los Muertos traditions during the pandemic.
